Blue Springs Cave Workday III, Nov. 5th
By: Paul Moser (McMinnville, Tennessee)
paulmoser at hotmail.com

The next installment of the Blue Springs Cave New Entrance Upgrade
will be Sunday, November 5th at 10am. Please help us give back to a
beautiful cave and to a wonderful land-owner and caver Mr. Lonnie Carr
and family. The objective for this work day will be to further extend
the path from the new entrance. Gravel will need to be transported
into the cave and a base of larger rock laid down in a section of the
trail that tends to stay wet more often than not. As I have mentioned
before, this is in an effort to reduce the amount of mud being carried
deeper into the cave by those that choose to use the new entrance as
their starting point. Until this project is completed I would like to
ask all to use the old entrance as their starting point in order to
bypass the mud and reduce the amount of mud being carried into the
cave. We had a wonderful turnout last time and I would like to
continue the trend. Bring your caving gear as there may be a cave trip
after the work is done. Maybe we can talk a few guys into showing us
some of the new discoveries they've made. Thankyou.

On Wednesday night, November 8, the grotto will hold it's monthly weeknight caving trip to Hardins Cave in Davidson County, TN.

This is a horizontal cave and is suitable for cavers of all experience levels and children. There is some crawling involved, as well as climbing over piles of breakdown. The cave has a stream, so you should expect to at least get your feet wet.

You will need to bring:
