Public hearing in Jamestown, TN at 6:00 pm in regards to TDOT highway expansion plan which could impact Wolf River Cave in Fentress County. This will be discussed at the Grotto Meeting on January 4.
The January Executive meeting will be held on January 16, 2007 at 7pm at the home of Jody Bailey. The Executive Meeting is open to all grotto members and usually involves setting up trips for the upcoming month and other grotto business, along with good food and drink.
Robert Van Fleet will lead a horizontal trip to Bridgewater Cave. See the online forums for further details.

It is somewhat unique among "caving" events in that it provides beneficial activities for anyone interested in caves and caving without regard to their level of expertise. Some who attend have never "caved" before- others may be among the best known cavers in the country. Anyone interested in caves or caving will find something they can do. Cave trips and instructional programs during the event are led by experienced guides who know a great deal about the sport of CAVING.

The next monthly meeting of the Nashville Grotto will occur on Thursday, January 4 at 7pm at the Adventure Science Center.
The meeting will begin with a special election for Grotto Chair. The current nominees who have accepted are Jody Bailey, Owen Walker, and John Hickman. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor before the election.
The program for February will be a presentation by Becky Dettorre about the recent trip to Mexico she attended with Heather Levy.
February 3 - SERA Winter Business Meeting in Chattanooga, TN at the Parish Life Center of St. Jude Catholic Church located at 930 Ashland Terrace. Registration will open at 8:00 AM EST with the meeting starting at 9:00 AM. The cost will be $16.00 per person including a BBQ banquet after
the meeting with guest speaker Larry Matthews of Nashville Grotto.
