Yes, you can go caving without leaving Davidson County. Hardins Cave is a great beginners cave located in the western part of the County. The meeting spot is the Waffle House at I-40 and White Bridge Road at 6:30p or 7pm at the cave. For more information, contact Alan Hatcher

The March Executive meeting will be held on March 15, 2007 at 7pm at the home of Gerald and Avis Moni. The Executive Meeting is open to all grotto members and usually involves setting up trips for the upcoming month and other grotto business, along with good food and drink.

John Hickman will be leading a "mystery" cave trip on March 24 to a cave located in the Monteagle area. It is a horizontal cave that requires some scrambling up rocks to get through the cave (a hand line will be used). It may also be a little wet, but not swimming. March 24, 2007 - Russell Cave Watershed, South Pittsburg, TN

The next Russell Cave Watershed Clean Up is scheduled for Saturday March 24. This clean up is sponsored by the SERA Karst Task Force and the Sewanee Mountain Grotto. This work day should finish the major trash dump on Orme Mtn Road. People wishing to help rig the highline or set up for the event can arrive as early at 9 AM Central. Volunteers will meet at the microwave tower at the intersection of State Route 156 and Orme Mountain Road (5 miles west from downtown South Pittsburg or 15 miles east from the 156 turn off in between Sewanee and Monteagle).
