I am new to the Nashville Grotto and the NSS. I hope that I am doing all of this right. My boyfriend was the orginal caver and then he got me into it. I live in Cross Plains TN and he lives in Sprinfield TN. We have came across hundreds of cave locations and are amazed at how close they all are. However we know that there are more around us that we don't know about and we have quite a list in which we have to go see. But we are interested in finding new ones. How do we go about doing that? I also am going to "try" to upload some attachments containing pictures of the recent caves we have been to. The quality is poor and I apoligize. If anyone has any tips on finding cave locations, please let me know. Thanks

Also, I did not list the cave names. The caves pictured include: Robertson Salpeter cave, Honey Run Cave, Blowing cave. All these caves are within walking distance apart. However I don't think all of them are the same system. There are many channels that break off inside and go way up and some that go way down. You can walk through parts of the cave and others you have to crawl. There is a light stream inside one that is less than an inch deep in most parts. In another cave it seemed as though some sort of pumping system was put in. There was a string that followed the cave deep. We did not get all the way through the cave, because I felt slightly uncomfortable. Does anyone know why there would have been a string?? As I said there was some sort of makeshift pump at the mouth of the cave. I don't know enough about caves to understand alot of it. So any advice is great. The last three pictures are from another local cave. However I do not know the name of it. Also, JOE, I recieved your messages but I can't reply to them. So I hope this helped.

OH...also, I have other pictures of caves that I would like to share along with future caves. Can anyone tell me the best way to post them. Should I post them as a blog, or is there another more appropriate place??
