Rutherford County Cactus in July

Gerald and Avis led us around a little bit in Rutherford County. The first pit was Bluehole Pit. Andrew found the entrance fairly quickly.

Fallen Cross Well is in a different area and interesting geologically. There isn't much topsoil. I wouldn't want to try to garden or farm much around there. But there is a bunch of crevices and holes in the ground everywhere.

Even though it was a hot July day, I had fun hiking through the cactus and buzzards base jumping their roosts.
